We believe the Holy Scripture is the God-breathed inspired Word of God and is therefore, without error. God has preserved the Bible and it is the sole and final authority for faith and life.
2 Timothy 3:16,17; 2 Peter 1:20, 21; 2 Timothy 1:13; Psalm 119:105,160, 12:6; Proverbs 30:5, Matthew 24;35, Mark 13:31, Luke 16:17, Matthew 24:14, Hebrews 4:12
We believe in one true God eternally existing in three distinct persons (God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit). Each of Whom is fully and equally God and possess the same divine nature and attributes.
Genesis 1:1, 26, 27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14
We believe God the Father is the first person of the Trinity and is the eternal, all powerful, all knowing, all loving sovereign ruler and sustainer of the universe.
Proverbs 15:3, Psalm 139: 7-10, 1 John 4:8, Matthew 19:26, Psalm 147:5 Matthew 11:25
We believe Jesus Ghrist is the second person of the Trinity and is the only begotten Son of God. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Jesus Christ lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on the cross. He arose from the dead on the third day to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven’s glory and is now seated at the right hand of God. He will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Matthew 1:22, 23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5, 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14, 15; 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4; Romans 1:3, 4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14, 15; Titus 2:13
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. The Holy Spirit is God's assurance that our salvation is secure - it is promised to us for all eternity.
The Holy Spirit provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. Each believer is gifted uniquely by the Holy Spirit with spiritual gifts which are used for the purpose of building and serving the body of Christ (the church).
2 Corinthians 1:21-22; 2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, 14:16, 17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25;
Ephesians 5:1
Man is made in the spiritual image of God, to be like him in character. Man was created to glorify God, to worship Him and have fellowship with Him. Man's sin of disobeying God led to man’s physical and spiritual death, and separates man from God. Man is saved by grace through faith, a gift of God, not by the works of man.
Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6a; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1, 2, Ephesians1:13-14, Ephesians 2:8-9
Man was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is hell. To be eternally in union with God is eternal life in Heaven.
We believe the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross provides the sole basis for forgiveness of sins and salvation. All who receive Jesus Christ through faith have their sins forgiven, become a new creation in Christ and "are sealed by the Holy Spirit unto the day of redemption".
John 3:16; 1 John 2:25; 1 John 5:11-13; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15; Ephesians 2:8, 9; John
14:6, 1:12; Titus 3:5: Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1
We believe the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus is the head, and whose members are those who have truly received Christ by faith.
The purpose of the Church is to make Christ known to a lost world, make disciples and glorify God on earth.
Corinthians 12:12-27; Ephesians 4:15-16; Matthew 28:19-20
Baptism by water symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus and is your public declaration that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. Baptism does not save you, but shows the world that you have already been saved.
And while baptism is not required for salvation, it is a biblical command and demonstrates your love and obedience to Christ.
Colossians 2:12; Acts 2:41, 8:35-38; Matthew 28:19-20
Communion, or the Lord’s Supper, is an ordinance given to all believers by Jesus Christ to remember his sacrifice for us and to symbolize the new covenant.
The elements of bread and wine or juice are symbols of Christ’s broken body and shed blood. Communion is not a means of salvation. Rather, it is a testament of a believer’s faith in the atoning work of the cross.
Matthew 26:26-30; Mark 14:22-25; Luke 22:19,20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26
We believe that God created all human beings in His image. Therefore, we believe that human life is sacred from conception to its natural end; that we must honor the physical and spiritual needs of all people. Following Christ's example, we believe that every person should be treated with love, dignity and respect.
Psalm 139:13; Isaiah 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5; Matthew 22:37-39; Romans 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10
We believe God's design for sexual intimacy is to be expressed only within the context of marriage. God instituted marriage between one man and one woman as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. For this reason, we believe that marriage is exclusively the union of one man and one woman.
Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6; Mark 10:6-9; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9
We believe that God wonderfully creates each person as male or female, and these two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. Gender is determined at conception. Rejection of one's biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person.
Genesis 1:26-27, 2:18-23; Mark 10:6, 19:4
